“The Lord is righteous in all His ways and gracious in all His acts” (Ps. 145:17).

The Lord is right in everything He does. He has never been mistaken or responded to a situation poorly. There has never been a need for Him to apologize. He is perfect and just in all His ways, completely in control and sovereign over all.

This is hard to reconcile with the state of the world, isn’t it? War, hunger, and tragedy plague the earth, yet a perfect God rules over everything? It’s good to ask these questions, but ask them humbly.

Remember, God knows infinitely more than you and has an unmatched perspective on the universe. You are a tiny piece in the cosmic puzzle. He holds the puzzle in His hands.

The Lord is gracious in all His acts. There is no evil in Him. He is kind in all His ways. Grace and truth seamlessly collide in the character of God. He will execute justice on the wicked and show mercy to those who have been made righteous by the cross.

Righteousness and mercy are mingled in everything He does, working together for His purposes and the glory of His name.

Today, humble yourself before the God who is righteous in all His ways. Throw yourself into His arms, for He is abundantly merciful toward you.
