“For I am persuaded that not even death or life, angels or rulers, things present or things to come, hostile powers, height or depth, or any other created thing will have the power to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!” (Rom. 8:38-39).

God is relentlessly committed to you, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, for all your life until the curtains close and you are His forever. Nothing can separate you from His love, for He fiercely pursued you on the cross and sealed His victory with the resurrection.

Why do you live your life as if His love is something to be earned? Why do you try to help Him approve of you? Your approval isn’t found in yourself, but in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ!

To not receive His love is to look at the cross and say, “That isn’t enough for my sin.” This isn’t the case, though, because the cross was (and is) sufficient for you to be counted as righteous before the Father. He loves you and He always will.

Today, accept God’s undying devotion. Receive His unwavering affection. He is yours, and you can’t be separated from Him.
