“Weeping may spend the night, but there is joy in the morning” (Ps. 30:5)

Diamonds are valued because of their durability, their sparkle, and their significance. They are forged in the deep parts of the earth, out of intense pressure and conflict — and because of this, they are virtually unbreakable.

God is an expert at taking broken things, putting them back together, and bringing glory out of the wreckage. In your brokenness, you often fail to glimpse the bigger picture of what God is doing. But He sees beyond the external.

Like diamonds, God desires to take the things that are meant to derail or to break you completely and use them to forge unshakable faith and deep-rooted devotion.

Your testimony to the enduring faithfulness of the One who never leaves you is the diamond, the eternal monument. In your darkest, weakest moments, He sees the diamond underneath waiting to be uncovered.

When you look in the mirror and all you see is a broken vessel staring back, know that God is working in you an eternal weight of glory — something that will last forever.

Though it takes time to form a diamond, and the process is laden with pressure and difficulty, you can rest assured that you’re never far from His outstretched arms.

Today, remember that God will never leave you or forsake you. When you find your strength is failing, rest in His everlasting arms.
